I am the bandleader of Freespirit, the Val Kelly Jazz & Soul Quartet/quintet, and the newly formed XR32.

These bands are highly professional and mainly performing at functions: weddings, Christmas parties, corporate events, house and birthday parties, charities, product launches etc. But we also play at festival, and venues such as Cafe de Paris, Mezzo, Windows, China Jazz. We also go abroad for one-off private or corporate events.

We have played more than 1500 gigs throughout 9 countries including the UK - this include gigs for James Brown, Mick Hucknal, Jamiroquai and many more. We also play at the pub down the road.

I also have been involved in music teaching - drum tutor - for many years and run Freespirit Entertainment agency.
